Customs Consultant

As a Customs Consultant, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely management of customs files, working independently to oversee all administrative activities in compliance with legal and departmental guidelines. Reporting to the Customs Team Leader, your duties will include verifying orders and new clients, processing e-commerce orders, handling monthly closings, and managing customs and fiscal authorizations. You will regularly review customs files, declarations, and related financial data to ensure accuracy, as well as prepare and apply for necessary certificates, permits, and appeals. In this role, you will maintain communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding customs formalities and developments within the sector. Staying up-to-date with customs regulations is key, and you will keep colleagues informed of any changes. Additionally, you will be expected to identify opportunities for process improvement and present recommendations to the Customs Team Leader. You will ensure the consistent handling of customs processes, advising all parties involved and adhering to established procedures and certifications. This role requires strong attention to detail, a thorough understanding of customs regulations, and the ability to manage multiple tasks within set deadlines.
