The Housing Market in the Netherlands
The Dutch housing market can be challenging, especially in larger cities where affordable housing can be scarce, particularly for migrant workers. In popular cities like Rotterdam or Amsterdam, the cost of a room in a shared house can range from €600 to €800 per month. Additionally, rental agreements often last a year or more. For this reason, Charlie works assists you in finding housing near your workplace. If your accommodation is further from your work, you may also qualify for transportation options, such as a loaner car, bicycle, or organized transport to your job.
Housing Arranged by Charlie works
When coming to work in the Netherlands, it’s crucial to have a safe, comfortable place to stay. Housing organized by Charlie works meets the standards established in the Collective Labor Agreement for temporary workers. As a member of the ABU, Charlie works ensures that all housing is inspected according to the Flex Living Standards Foundation (SNF) guidelines. The accommodations are well-maintained, clean, and equipped with essential facilities, including heating, a bed, bathroom, and kitchen.

If you wish to end the rental agreement while still employed, you must provide written notice to Charlie works, with a minimum one-week notice period.
Vacations
If you plan to take leave for more than 14 days, Charlie works will email you with a request to reserve your sleeping place for the duration of your absence.
