Going to the Netherlands to work together: what do you need to arrange? If you are coming to the Netherlands with family, it is important to arrange a few things on time. This way you will avoid stress and you can quickly focus on your new life and work.

  • Registration with the municipality (BSN number) – This is a personal identification number you need to be able to work and take out health insurance. You can find more information about the BSN and the application procedure on the website of the Dutch Government.
  • Health insurance – Health insurance is mandatory in the Netherlands. Everyone who works here must be insured. At Charlie works, we arrange this for you: we often offer health insurance as part of your employment conditions.
  • Housing – Do you want to live together with your family? Arrange this in time or ask Charlie works for help. Charlie works can help you with organized housing. We offer both shared housing for those who want to live together, and private accommodations for families or couples. Housing costs are transparent and are always discussed with you in advance, so you never face any surprises.
  • Finding work for everyone – At Charlie works, we have various vacancies open in different sectors. Perhaps you want to work in logistics, while your brother or partner would rather work in production or horticulture. We help you find a suitable job.
