What You Can Expect
When you work through us, we arrange, where possible, housing close to your workplace. This saves travel time and energy. Usually, you live together with colleagues who also work through Charlie works. That’s nice, because it means you’re not alone.
The houses are fully furnished. You don’t need to buy anything yourself. You have a bed, furniture, a shared or private bedroom (depending on the location), a kitchen, washing machine, and often wifi too. So you can move in right away.
Moreover, all our houses meet the requirements of the Foundation for Flexible Housing Standards (SNF). This means, among other things: enough space, good hygiene, fire safety, ventilation, and regular inspections. So you know for sure you’re in good hands.
What Does Housing through Charlie works Cost?
For the housing, you pay €140 per week, depending on where you live and what type of housing you have. This amount includes gas, water, electricity, and usually internet too. The costs are automatically deducted from your salary, so you don’t have to pay separate bills. Everything is clearly arranged. Because the prices are aligned with the SNF guidelines, you know you’re never paying too much for what you get. And more importantly: you know exactly what to expect in advance.

Sometimes this is possible, depending on the type of housing and location. Let us know your wishes in time, and we’ll look at what’s possible together.
What happens if I stop working?
The housing is linked to your work through Charlie works. If you stop working, your right to the housing also ends. But don’t worry: we’ll discuss this in time and think along with you about other possibilities.
Can I move if I start working in a different location?
Yes, if you need to move for your work, we’ll also arrange – where possible – suitable housing near your new workplace.
Who helps me if there’s something wrong with the housing?
Each housing has a contact person or caretaker. If you have a problem or malfunction, you can contact them. We’ll solve it together.
